Charcoal in my tentacles

Lately I’ve been forcing myself to revisit old things or try new ones. I can’t decide which this was a result of; I’m sure at some point in my life I drew with charcoal pencils, but I honestly don’t remember it…so technically, I must call it a new thing. Either way, it’s weird.

Embrace your weird.

Cthulhu is charcoal on toned tan sketch paper. It’s actually page one of a new sketchbook. I buy these books and doodle on a page or two and then never use them again. I’m not even going to attempt to make a commitment to “keeping a sketchbook”, because I know from years of experience that it’ll never happen.

Also, my fingertips are dirty.
