I’ve been back to burning lately and have found what may be my new favorite wood to burn on: slices from cypress knees.
Harmony, the Native American chief, was a gift for Jay Buchanan of Rival Sons. You may notice it’s in the shape of a foot – Jay sings barefoot, as do I. There’s a Lakota proverb burned on the back. This was a special piece for me, with personal meaning. I wasn’t able to give it to Jay myself, but another band member delivered it. I really hope he likes it!
Sound and Vision was part of a recent local exhibit, “Starman: For the Love of Bowie” and has sold.
Reflection, Owl, and the Native American fish, along with several other new pieces, will be available at an exhibit in March (details to come).
